Amazing staff, great facilities! Very good breakfast! Great place for families

service is not good. room is very dark.

Overcrowded at time of stay. Therefore the service lacked a bit behind.

Pine Cliff Resort in Portugal's Algarve region truly stands out, with its newly refurbished garden suites, particularly room G303, setting a high standard for comfort and aesthetics. The suite is well-equipped, beautifully decorated, and perfectly embodies the luxurious ambiance of the resort. The staff's niceness and courtesy enhance the experience, making guests feel exceptionally welcomed. The resort's expansive gardens are a highlight, offering a serene escape that, despite the complex's size, creates an intimate atmosphere unless you venture as far as the mini soccer field. However, there's room for improvement, notably the limited F&B options with most (all?) restaurants closed in our week and lacking clear communication pre-booking, the non-operational lift to the beach, the absence of a heated outdoor pool, and a lack of follow-up or compensation for these issues which we mentioned at check out. Despite these areas for enhancement, the overall experience at Pine Cliff Resort remains unparalleled. But it is something to keep in mind when booking in the low season. Overall, its strengths far outweigh the inconveniences, easily maintaining its 5 out of 5 rating for anyone seeking a memorable and luxurious stay in the Algarve.

The room started out with an ant infestation. We were changed rooms to a more run down room with water damage on the walls and peeling paint. The main problem was when we went to the restaurant Mare. Staff overcharged us, charging 4 ice creams instead of the 3 we got. When we pointed this out, staff took off the extra ice cream, but then stated 'I took it off the bill but you really got 4 ice creams'. My 2 kids and my father got ice creams. When I pointed out this was 3, he then pointed a finger in my face and accused me of getting an ice cream too (I am diabetic and do not eat ice cream). He then got another staff (the one that served the ice cream) and she proceeded to also tell us we got 4 ice creams. Finally, after a lot of back and forth and having to defend myself repeatedly, she finally said that it was a busy day and perhaps she miscounted. There was no apology. I understand mistakes happen and I have never had this kind of experience when I have been incorrectly charged on a restaurant tab in the past. This was a ridiculous situation given how much we spent on food at this restaurant, not to mention the thousands of dollars we spent on rooms, dining, golf reservations, kids activities. We refused to dine at this location any further. There are numerous places to stay at the Algarve, given the poor treatment by the staff here, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Beautiful hotel, but I find it ridiculous that such a great hotel would charge $2 per coffee pod and they don't refill them each morning. I've stayed in rough hotels in the past and they still would not charge for coffee pods to make in the hotel.

3/5 Lovely resort but pools all freezing. If you are going with children it is highly unlikely they will want to go near the water. This affects the holiday and it’s sad the kids can’t get into the water. They should heat one pool outside. The indoor pool is also cold! As it was quiet they closed most of the restaurants so most of the guests were herded into 2 restaurants each night. This made it feel crowded but you could access all the facilities. They only open all the restaurants in July and August. So although they advertise the gourmet restaurants most of the year you can’t eat at them. The cleaners in the room were fantastic and our 2 bed apartments was very spacious and opened up directly onto the ocean suites pool which was nice. There was no entertainment in the evenings so it was very quiet once the sunset. It would have been nice to have one of the bars with a singer or a band in the evenings.

Just returned from a memorable Pine Cliffs holiday, and cannot praise the development highly enough. It was my third stay, but my family’s first. And all of us enjoyed it immensely. Yes the development is huge, however we found the free resort shuttle to be very reliable, and as the landscaped gardens are a delight, walking was a pleasure. Yes, dining on the site is very expensive, however the food was of the highest quality. Our three bedroomed three bathroom apartment in the residences had no less than four balconies overlooking the golf course. It is a credit to the operators that ALL the staff were lovely, pleasant and polite. I would recommend this paradise resort to anyone, particularly families.

A truly fabulous time at a gorgeous resort, perfect for our family. Tennis / padel / golf / restaurants were great as was the hotel, but what we loved best were the Residence apartments and the idea of having our own space all within a 5 star resort. Big thanks to Niky and team at Design Holidays for both the recommendation and unbelievable deal. We will return.
